CJ has stated Public Safety improvements are a priority for him since day one, going back before even running for the State House. When he was Vice Mayor on the Bethel City Council, he sat on the Public Safety & Transportation Commission.
He has been an advocate for Victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault his entire life. He has fought to provide more resources for Public Safety in all rural communities, even villages outside of District 38.
CJ has the back of first responders in all of Alaska. The first bill he scheduled as chair of the Community and Regional Affairs Committee was to provide a dignified retirement for all Public Safety employees.
He’s said it from day one & that won’t change. CJ is the strongest candidate for better Public Safety in rural Alaska.
